We have come to the conclusion that Tristan is accident prone. Way more terrible things have happened to him than ever happened to Josilyn.
On thursday Tristan and Josilyn were in the playroom and Josilyn said "Tristan has a booboo in the eye!" So check him out, he's crying pretty bad but it doesn't look to terrible. Once he calms down I let him go to play again. After 15 minutes I go check on him and he's cheerfully drawing on his magnadoole. But his eye was really red and irritated. Of course he won't let me get a good look in his eye without a fight, but I was lucky that I caught the light just right and saw a scratch on the surface of his cornea. From the center of the pupil going up his eyeball.
I immediatly get them ready to go to the doctors. I didn't want to risk any possible eyesight loss. The doctor put a ultra-violet dye in his eye and used a black light, it glowed bright where the scratch was. Thank goodness she said that the cornea is one of the quickest healing organs in the body. So now we have to tackle him three times a day to put a petrolium ointment into his eye. After the first day the scratch had already healed on the pupil area and was just above the color of the eye now. Whew!

My mom recently scratched the cornea of her eye too. It was so sad because she and my dad had planned a trip to L.A. to go see Wicked before it ended there and it happened right before the play! She still went...but her eyes were tearing up and painful the whole time. Anyway...it did heal quickly at least! That's great that Tristans is already so much better!
